Andy Loucks rejoined the Franklin & Marshall staff in 2021 as a defensive assistant after previously serving as the defensive line coach with the Diplomats in 2014. He returned to Lancaster after guiding York Suburban to a 36-23 record and three York-Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association (YAIAA) Championships over the previous six seasons. His team went 10-0 in the regular season during his last full season, the program’s first undefeated campaign since the 1960s. During his time at York Suburban, Loucks was recognized three times as the YAIAA Coach of the Year (2015, 16, 19). Loucks also spent four seasons as the head coach at Kennard-Dale High School. More recently, he served as the defensive coordinator for the West team during the 2021 Pennsylvania East/West All-Star Game.
In addition to his most recent coaching success, Loucks was the defensive coordinator/linebackers coach for the D.C. Generals Police & Fire Football Club in 2010 after a 2007-09 stint as head football coach at La Plata High School in La Plata, Md.
From 2002-06, Loucks was the head coach at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology where he led his team to a 33-19 mark, winning four consecutive conference championships (2002-05). During that string of championship teams, Loucks was named coach of year on three occassions (2002, 03, 04). The 2002 Thaddeus Stevens football team has since been inducted into the College's Hall of Fame.
After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in health & physical education from Lock Haven University in 1996, Loucks obtained his Masters of Education in athletic coaching from Millersville University.
Loucks teaches Health & Physical Education at Kennard-Dale High and resides in Stewartstown with his wife Michelle and two sons, Adam and Anthony.
