Chilamo Taylor '24

Chilamo Taylor ’24 joined his alma mater’s coaching staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2025 season where he helped lead F&M to the Centennial Conference Championship and the program’s first-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Named a part of the Centennial Conference Coaching Staff of the Year following that historic season, Taylor worked with the wide receivers where he helped All-American Gary Lewis ’26 become the program’s first-ever Gagliardi Trophy (Division III Heisman) semifinalist while additionally earning Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Year recognition.

Taylor’s football background brings vast experience to the program as he spent time on both sides of the ball as a running back, linebacker, and defensive back during his Franklin & Marshall career, while also playing a significant role on special teams. His impact on the field helped the Diplomats to a winning record during each of his seasons in Lancaster, highlighted by Centennial-MAC Bowl Series victories during the 2021 and 2023 seasons.

Taylor graduated from Franklin & Marshall with a bachelor’s degree in business, Japanese, and history. Following his graduation, he traveled to Japan for a year where he received a prestigious Princeton in Asia Fellowship. During that time, Taylor played as both a defensive back and running back in the X-League, which is the largest football league in that country.
