Franklin & Marshall College

Chris Tongel joined the Franklin & Marshall women’s lacrosse coaching staff prior to the 2024 season and has helped the Diplomats to Centennial Conference Championships during both of his first two seasons on the sidelines. In 2024, the Diplomats advanced all the way to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament. Tongel works primarily with the goalies and brings a great local lacrosse acumen to the team as he previously spent seven years as the coach at his alma mater, Lancaster Country Day. While at Lancaster Country Day, Tongel helped that program to numerous league, district, and state championship appearances.

Tongel also played locally in college as he started his career at La Roche University before transferring to Elizabethtown where he graduated with a degree in mass communication during the spring of 2021. He works full-time locally in the Penn Manor School District where he additionally assists with the football team during their fall season.
