Mike Oliveto

Hired as the first-ever Performance Enhancement Coach at Franklin & Marshall, Mike Oliveto joins the Diplomats for the 2022-23 academic year after gaining experience at both the Division I and Division III levels. In this newly-created position, Oliveto enhances the competitive performance of F&M's student-athletes through a focus on strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance. Oliveto works closely with the Diplomats' Sports Medicine team for the prevention of injuries and development of rehabilitation programs. In addition to the traditional duties associated with this position, he will provide oversight and management of the fitness and strength facilities while working with the entire student population to create a healthy lifestyle.

Oliveto most recently spent time as the Director of Strength & Conditioning at Alvernia University where he also spent time on staff as an assistant football coach. In addition to his direct work with the student-athletes, Oliveto served as an adjunct professor where he taught courses in performance enhancement. Prior to his time at Alvernia, Oliveto spent the spring 2019 semester as the Strength & Conditioning intern at the University of Virginia. He is also brings familiarity to the Centennial Conference after spending nearly three years at his alma mater, McDaniel, were he served as both a graduate assistant and volunteer with the Green Terror from 2016-18. Oliveto earned his bachelor's degree at McDaniel in 2015 before receiving his master's degree in kinesiology in 2017. He is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
