Mitch Wagner '24

Mitch Wagner ’24 returned to his alma mater as an assistant coach for the 2024 season after starting for the Diplomats at running back during his senior season. During just his second season on staff, the Diplomats won the Centennial Conference Championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. Wagner was instrumental in Louis Paris having a breakout season where the rookie running back was an All-Centennial Conference selection.

Throughout his own playing career, Wagner was twice honored as a College Sports Communicators All-District selection. He was additionally selected to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll on four occasions and was recognized as a member of the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society following his graduation.

Wagner helped the Diplomats to three Centennial-MAC Bowl series victories and finished his career with over 1,000 rushing yards while averaging 4.3 yards per game.
