Box Score 2 WESTMINSTER, MD - Franklin & Marshall College setter Jackie Skibbie (Jr., Darby, PA/Merion Mercy) recorded 44 assists, five kills, 14 digs and four service aces as the Diplomats knocked off McDaniel College 3-1 in Centennial Conference volleyball action.
The Diplomats jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the match as Franklin & Marshall captured games one and two by 30-16 and 30-19 scores, respectively, before the Green Terror closed the gap with a 30-28 victory in game three. However, F&M finished off the match in game four with a 30-20 victory as the Diplomats improved to 5-1 in Centennial Conference play this year.
Overall, middle blocker Liz Earll (Sr., New Freedom, PA/Susquehannock) finished with 11 kills, one solo block and two block assists, while Susan Taylor (Fr., The Woodlands, TX/John Cooper) added 13 kills and two block assists.
Outside hitter Jenna Walck (Fr., Perkasie, PA/Pennridge) tallied 17 digs and Kayleen Bailey (Jr., Baltimore, MD/Institute of Notre Dame) registered 16 digs and six kills as the Diplomats improved to 16-31 against the Terror, including a six match winning streak dating back to a 1999 win by McDaniel.
Franklin & Marshall (13-5, 5-1 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on October 16 at the Eastern College Invitational.
