Franklin & Marshall Sinks Washington 3-0 in Volleyball for 20 Win Season

LANCASTER, PA - Franklin & Marshall College middle blocker Liz Earll (Sr., New Freedom, PA/Susquehannock) finished with 12 kills, two service aces, one solo block and two block assists as the Diplomats defeated Washington College 3-0 (30-24, 30-23, 30-20) in volleyball.

The win marks the 20th victory of the season as Franklin & Marshall College (20-9, 9-1 Centennial Conference) recorded the 14th 20-win season in the 32 year history of varsity volleyball at Franklin & Marshall College (1979, 1990, 1991, 1993, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002).

Setter Jackie Skibbie (Jr., Darby, PA/Merion Mercy) added 27 assists, five kills and three service aces, while Sara Collier (Jr., Manchester, PA/Northeastern) tacked on four kills, one solo block and two block assists in the win. Further, Alexis Dansky (So., Yardley, PA/George School) registered five kills, two assists, two solo blocks and two block assists as the Diplomats finish the season with a 9-1 record in Centennial Conference play.

#2 seed Franklin & Marshall will continue the season on November 6 versus #3 seed Johns Hopkins University at #1 seed Gettysburg College in the semifinals of the Centennial Conference playoffs.
