Box Score HAVERFORD, PA -- Elizabeth Earll (Sr., New Freedom, PA/Susquehannock) finished with 13 kills, four solo blocks and four block assists as the Franklin & Marshall College volleyball team overcame 1-0 and 2-1 deficits to defeat Haverford College 3-2 in a Centennial Conference nail-biter.
After falling 30-23 in the first game, the Diplomats clawed their way to a 33-31 win in game two before going down 2-1 in the match as the Fords rallied for a 30-26 victory in game three.
However, F&M dominated Haverford over the final two games recording 30-11 and 15-8 wins to improve to 8-3 on the season, 3-0 in Centennial Conference play.
Setter Jackie Skibbie (Jr., Darby, PA/Merion Mercy) added 46 assists, three kills and 15 digs, while outside hitter Nicole Kushman (So., Chalfont, PA/Central Bucks) chipped in 13 kills, 13 digs and two service aces. Libero Meghan Godorov (Jr., Orefield, PA/Parkland) led the team's defensive efforts garnering 30 digs as the Diplomats remained perfect at 3-0 in Centennial Conference play.
Franklin & Marshall (8-3, 3-0) will continue the season on September 28 at home versus Ursinus College. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m.
