LANCASTER, PA - Four McDaniel College players scored goals as the Green Terror upset #16 Franklin & Marshall College 4-1 in Centennial Conference field hockey action at Baker Field.

Tied 1-1 at halftime, McDaniel (7-5, 3-2 Centennial Conference) took the lead 3:13 into the second half as Caroline Bianco converted a penalty stroke for the eventual game winning goal.

Less than nine minutes later, Jamie Smith accepted a pass at midfield, beat two F&M defenders down the field and converted on a one-on-one opportunity with the goalie for the first of two insurance goals. Brooke Dixon finished the scoring in the game as she found Caitlin Potter in front of the cage for a goal at the 57:31 mark for the 4-1 final.

In the first half, the Diplomats (8-5, 2-4 Centennial Conference) took the lead as Stacy Swymelar (Sr., Phoenixville, PA/Phoenixville) blasted a shot off a pass from Brenna Dolphin (Jr., Wilmington, DE/Archmere Academy) past McDaniel goalie Erika Wawzyanick for a 1-0 lead at the 15:34 mark.

McDaniel responded at 31:54 as Dani Unflat finished a pass from Lindsay Ricks on a penalty corner to knot the game at 1-1 prior to halftime.

In goal, Lindsay Klimik (Sr., Brick, NJ/Brick) took the loss making nine saves, while Wawzyanick earned the win stopping six Franklin & Marshall shots.

Franklin & Marshall (8-5, 2-4 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on October 15 at Bryn Mawr College. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m.
