BRYN MAWR, PA - Forward Brittany Croll (Sr., Lewes, DE/Indian River) scored four goals and assisted on another as the Franklin & Marshall College field hockey team blanked Bryn Mawr College 8-0 in Centennial Conference play.

The Diplomats (9-5, 3-4 Centennial Conference) tallied the game-winning goal less than 13 minutes into the game as Stacy Swymelar (Sr., Phoenixville, PA/Phoenixville) finished a pass from Lindsay Solar (So., King of Prussia, PA/Upper Merion) at the 12:56 mark.

Croll started her scoring 43 seconds later as she fired a pass from Brenna Dolphin (Jr., Wilmington, DE/Archmere Academy) past Bryn Mawr goalie Nicole Huynh for a 2-0 lead 13:39 into the game.

Two minutes later she scored off a pass from Swymelar to push the lead to 3-0 before Lauren Wasp (So., Potomac, MD/Georgetown Visitation) knocked in a pass from Croll for a 4-0 lead after less than 27 minutes of play.

Amy Swymelar (So., Phoenixville, PA/Phoenixville) scored an unassisted goal at 29:59 and Croll added her third goal at 30:48 as the Diplomats carried a 6-0 lead into halftime.

After the break, Stacy Swymelar tallied her second goal of the game before Croll knocked in her fourth score at 54:17 for the 8-0 final score.

In goal, Lindsay Klimik (Sr., Brick, NJ/Brick) earned the win making two saves in the first half before being relieved by Michelle Altman (Sr., Trumbull, CT/Trumbull) and Jennifer Burdo (Fr., Narberth, PA/Harriton) who finished the game with 25 and 10 minutes of relief, respectively.

Franklin & Marshall will continue the season on October 19 at Dickinson College. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
