CARLISLE, PA - Forward Brittany Croll (Sr., Lewes, DE/Indian River) scored two goals, including the game-winner with 8:16 left in the first half off a penalty corner, and handed out two assists as the Franklin & Marshall College field hockey team defeated Dickinson College 4-2 in Centennial Conference action.

Her six points in the game continue a scoring fury by Croll over the last two games as she has scored six goals and dished out three assists, including four goals and an assist in an 8-0 win at Bryn Mawr on October 15, to raise her season scoring total to 15 goals and seven assists for 37 points. Further, she now has 51-21-123 in her career to rank third in career goals at F&M, three shy of surpassing Laura Kramedas '80 (53) for the all-time lead and two short of passing Sue Bowen '80 for second place.

Against Dickinson (2-12, 1-6 Centennial Conference), she found the back of the cage at 12:07 in the first half before assisting on a goal by Eileen Keever (Sr., Prospect Park, PA/Interboro) at 20:55 to give the Diplomats a 2-0 lead.

She added to the margin prior to halftime as Lindsay Solar (So., King of Prussia/Upper Merion) assisted on Croll's game-winning score at 26:46 for a 3-0 F&M lead at halftime.

Dickinson cut into the lead in the second half as defender Megan Kelley scored on an assist by Erika Zavada at 46:46 to pull to within two goals.

Croll iced the game for the Diplomats five minutes later as she set up Stacy Swymelar (Sr., Phoenixville, PA/Phoenixville) for a goal off a penalty corner for a 4-1 lead at the 51:44 mark.

Dickinson finished the scoring at 58:04 as Meghan Hihn scored off an assist from Zavada for the 4-2 final.

In goal, Michelle Altman (Sr., Trumbull, CT/Trumbull) earned the win making seven saves, while Dickinson's Katlin Harker made 10 saves in taking the loss.

The win improves F&M to 27-8-2 all-time against Dickinson as the Diplomats have won the past two meetings.

Franklin & Marshall (10-5, 4-4 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on October 26 at Muhlenberg College. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m.
