LANCASTER, PA - Forward Brittany Croll (Sr., Frankford, DE/Indian River) scored a pair of goals and assisted on the game-winner in overtime as the Franklin & Marshall College field hockey team handled Lebanon Valley College 3-2 OT in non-conference action at Baker Campus.

Tied 2-2 in overtime, the Diplomats (4-0, 0-0 Centennial Conference) picked up their fourth win of the season as Croll found Lindsey Mummert (Jr., New Oxford, PA/New Oxford) in front of the cage for the game-winner with 1:57 left in the 15 minute extra period.

The game was a battle of wills as the Diplomats opened the scoring 4:35 into the game as Croll buried a shot past LVC goalie Katie Pawlewicz before the Dutchmen's Shauna Enck finished a pass from Steph Marguglio at the 11:28 to knot the score at 1-1 prior to halftime.

In the second half, Lebanon Valley (3-1, 0-0 Middle Atlantic Conference) took the lead as Mallary Anderson found Claire Beheny at the 38:33 mark for a score. Franklin & Marshall battled back as Croll ripped a shot into the cage to knot the score at 52:15 and force the game into overtime.

In goal, Lindsay Klimik (Sr., Brick, NJ/Brick) recorded 10 saves on 13 LVC shots to earn the win, while Pawlewicz took the loss with 10 saves on 14 F&M shots.

The win avenges a 3-1 loss by the Diplomats to Lebanon Valley in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Mid-Atlantic Region Championship playoffs last season and marks the second win in the last three meetings between the two institutions as Franklin & Marshal knocked off the Dutchmen 2-1 on September 9, 2004 in Annville.

Franklin & Marshall (4-0, 0-0 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on September 17 at Eastern Mennonite University. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
