LANCASTER, PA - Libero Meghan Godorov (Sr., Orefield, PA/Parkland) recorded 63 digs to set a new career record as the Franklin & Marshall volleyball team defeated Dickinson College 3-0 (30-27, 30-22, 30-27) and Brockport State 3-1 (30-27, 28-30, 30-11, 30-28) and fell to Eastern University 3-0 (24-30, 20-30, 18-30) at the F&M Invitational.

The new career leader in digs at the College with 1,691 to break the previous school record of 1,674 held by Maureen Lafferty '04, Godorov led the Diplomats against Dickinson recording 15 digs with two service aces. Setter Jackie Skibbie (Sr., Darby, PA/Merion Mercy) added 36 assists, five digs and seven kills and middle hitter Susan Taylor (So., The Woodlands, TX/John Cooper) tacked on 11 kills, four solo blocks, two block assists and a service ace, while outside hitter Margot Phelan (Fr., Ellicott City, MD/Centennial) chipped in 16 kills, six digs, two solo blocks and one block assist in her first intercollegiate match.

Against Brockport, Phelan had 21 kills, six digs, three solo blocks and a service ace, Taylor added 14 kills, two service aces, three solo blocks and three block assists, Godorov chipped in 30 digs and a service ace and Skibbie handed out 47 assists with five kills and 14 digs in the 3-1 win.

The Diplomats concluded the tournament against Eastern as Phelan recorded 10 kills, Godorov added 18 digs and three service aces, Kayleen Bailey (Sr., Baltimore, MD/Institute of Notre Dame) had seven kills, seven digs and two service aces, while Rebecca Zeigler (Sr., Manchester, PA/Northeastern) tacked on five kills, four digs and two assists.

Franklin & Marshall (2-1, 0-0 Centennial Conference) will continue the season at home on September 6 versus Elizabethtown College. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m.
