CARLISLE, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's nine-minute, 18-4 run to open the second half was enough to deliver the Diplomats (3-4, 2-1 CC) their first road win of the season, a 66-56 Centennial Conference (CC) victory at Dickinson (1-6, 0-3).

Logan Outerbidgre's three-pointer in the second minute of the second half kick started Franklin & Marhsall's offense, initiating the decisive run. A minute later, Dickinson's Cory Kenny hit a lay-up, but gritty team defense kept the host Red Devils from cashing in again from the field for the next nine-and-a-half minutes.

In the meantime, Pat Przybylowski and Brandon Yost went to work offensively. Przybylowski tied the game at 40-40 with 16:19 left in the game, before Yost gave the Diplomats the lead for good with a lay-up a minute later. Yost contributed eight of his 20 points during the run, while Przybylowski offered five of his eight points in that same stretch.

F&M grew the lead to12 with 9:23 left. Three minutes later, Dickinson had cut it to four, 56-52 with 6:24 left in the game, but Yost's solid night of work yielded six more points, four at the line, down the stretch. His first two free throws stretched the Diplomats' lead to six with a little more than five minutes left in the game. Dickinson was unable to cut into that margin.

Dickinson did lead for the majority of the first half. The Devils' largest advantage was five points midway through the period. They were never able to make it more than a two-possession game. Franklin & Marshall had tied it up at 32-32 with 1:44 showing in the period, but a four-of-four effort at the charity stripe left the hosts with a three-point lead at the break.

In addition to his 20 points, Yost recovered 11 caroms for the double-double. Derek Hines also posted a double-double of 12 points and 10 boards. Bryan Teschke scored 11 points for the Diplomats, who shot 44.4 percent from the field as a team. The Diplomats cashed in on their own misses with 14 offensive rebounds resulting in 21 second-chance points.

Dickinson got 19 points and 14 rebounds from Kenny. The Red Devils shot just 32.7 percent from the field, but hit on 19-of-24 free throws.

With the win, the Dips improved to 3-4 (2-1 CC), while Dickinson fell to 1-6 (0-3 CC). F&M will look for their first consecutive wins of the season on Saturday when the Diplomats host Haverford in Centennial play.
