Box Score WEST PALM BEACH, FL - Sarah Meisenberg (Sr., Severna Park, MD/Severn) scored four goals to lead the Franklin & Marshall College women's lacrosse team to a 14-9 win over Connecticut College.
Franklin & Marshall put the game away in the first 16 minutes of play as the Diplomats scored six goals to go in front 6-0.
Meisenberg opened the scoring at the 28:27 mark on a free position shot before Jen Pritchard (Fr., Media, PA/Penncrest), Meisenberg and Kelly Cassels (Jr., Downingtown, PA/Great Valley) tacked on free position goals at 24:17, 12:18 and 11:02, respectively.
Pritchard netted the Diplomats next two goals as she tallied an unassisted score at 10:00 and finished a pass from Catherine Onnen (So., Lutherville, MD/St. Paul's School for Girls) at 4:36.
The Camels closed to within 6-3 prior to halftime as Paige Pascarelli, Melissa Ridgway and Kelsey Sullivan found the back of the goal to trim F&M's lead back to three goals.
Franklin & Marshall responded with eight goals to open the second half to take a 14-3 lead before the Camels closed the game to within five goals as Connecticut scored six goals in the final 10 minutes of the game.
In goal, Julia Ann Cutruzzula (Jr., Pittsburgh, PA/The Ellis School) made nine saves to earn the win while Connecticut's Alix Werner took the loss with nine saves.
