LANCASTER - The Diplomats battled Centennial Conference power Ursinus tough on Wednesday at F&M, but came up on the short end of a 3-1 score.

Coach Beth Walkenbach's squad trailed 2-0 at halftime after Ursinus's Melissa Buckley and Allison Droutt both found the back of the cage on unassisted goals.

The Diplomats fought back early in the second half, however, when Jessika Mancino took a pass from Brenna Dolphin and scored.

The Bears added to their lead 15 minutes later when Kait Sutherland scored off of an assist from Jess Rogers.

Diplomat keeper Jennifer Burdo had a great day, amassing 14 saves.
