Box Score

LANCASTER, Pa. - Dickinson's Tom Leszczynski scored 18 points and gathered 11 rebounds to lead the Red Devils (7-14, 5-10 CC) to a 73-68 win over Franklin & Marshall at the Mayser Center Wednesday evening. The sophomore was one of four Dickinson starters that scored in double figures, giving Dickinson its third straight win at Mayser, and making this the third straight season in which the Diplomats (7-15, 6-9 CC) and Red Devils split the season series with road wins.

The game was tight throughout with F&M owning the largest lead at eight points, with 9:37 remaining in the game. The Diplomats had claimed their first lead of the night six minutes earlier on a three-minute 11-0 run. The Red Devils' went on a 10-2 run sparked by a Leszczynski bucket with 8:21 showing. With 5:43 left, he reclaimed the lead for Dickinson and extended it to four points on the next trip down.

Dickinson did not trail the rest of the way, and connected on 10-of-12 free throws in the final minute to secure the win.

F&M's Derek Hines scored 19 points to lead all scorers.

The loss drops Franklin & Marshall's record to 7-15 (6-9 CC), and when combined with McDaniel's upset of Johns Hopkins, Gettysburg's loss at Ursinus, and Swarthmore's loss at Muhlenberg earlier this evening, leaves the Diplomats with a tough road for the Centennial's fifth playoff seed. The Bullets, Terror and Garnet Tide all sit tied for fifth with 7-8 conference marks. F&M and Muhlenberg share 6-9 marks behind them with three games remaining. The Diplomats next face Washington on Saturday, then close out the season with trips to McDaniel and Johns Hopkins.
