LANCASTER, Pa. - Margot Phelan and Maritza Fair each recorded 11 kills to lead Franklin & Marshall to a 3-0 (30-28, 30-15, 30-28) sweep of Washington in Centennial Conference volleyball on Wednesday evening. The win was Diplomats (3-2, 1-0 CC) 15th consecutive victory over the Shorewomen (2-5, 0-1 CC) dating back to 1993.

In addition to her 11 kills, Pehlan recorded 13 digs, three service aces, and a pair of assisted blocks. Fair had four digs, a pair of aces, and an assisted block on the night. Valerie Pusateri was credited with 32 assists on the night, while Krysta Brown blocked six Washington advances.

The Shorewomen got 16 kills from Katherine O'Brien, while Caitlin Ward put up 31 assists.

With the win, Franklin & Marshall improved to 3-2 (1-0 CC) on the season, while Washington slipped to 2-5 (0-1 CC). The Diplomats return to action this weekend at the Lebanon Valley Invitational.
