LANCASTER, Pa. - Paced by Sarah Meisenberg's 20-points and Cara Landolfi's timely scoring, Franklin & Marshall rolled to a 68-58 win over Washington College in Centennial Conference (CC) action on Saturday. The Diplomats (8-4, 4-2 CC) outscored the Shorewomen (5-7, 2-3 CC) 42-24 in the paint, improving to 5-1 at the Mayser Center this season.

Back-to-back lay-ups by Landolfi just inside of eight minutes to play in the first period gave the Diplomats a 15-11 lead, which they carried to the wire. Landolfi's points sparked an 11-2 run that gave F&M a double-digit lead with six minutes in the first half. The junior finished with a career-high 15 points, and matched her career high in rebounds with eight.

Washington cut into the lead, closing the gap down to a single point, 29-28, with 17:12 left in the contest. Brenda Lucas tallied two of her 10 points in the game, making good on an Elise Conway pass. Conway finished the game with 12 assists establishing a new high-water mark for the Shorewomen. She was one dime short of the Centennial Conference record.

Washington hung around for the next three minutes before F&M embarked on a 10-2 run, once again sparked by a Landolfi lay-up. Meisenberg scored six points in the stretch, leading the Diplomats in scoring for the sixth time this season. Junior Miriam Marcis broke into double-digits with 10 points.

Lucas was one of three Shorewomen to score in double-figures. Brianne Slizofski scored 13 points and grabbed ten rebounds, while Conway added 12 points, nine rebounds, three blocks, and three steals to her record setting day.

The win was the second in as many games for the Diplomats, marking the first time F&M has won consecutive games since opening the season with four-straight wins. F&M will look to make it three straight on Tuesday when the Diplomats travel to Drew.
