GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Megan Hartman went 7-for-11 to register a team-high 16 points, four assists and three steals to lead Gettysburg over Franklin & Marshall 70-47 in Centennial Conference (CC) women's basketball action on Thursday night.

Hartman was one of three starters in double figures for the Bullets (10-6, 6-3 CC), who shot 53 percent from the floor and used a 24-5 run in the opening 9:06 of the game to take a commanding lead over the Diplomats (11-5, 6-3 CC) that would not relinquish.

Allie Drechsler tallied 14 points and Courtney Fields recorded 12 points, while Caitlin Moser led on the boards with a career-high 14 rebounds.

Sarah Meisenberg registered 21 out of the 47 points scored by F&M for the game high.

Gettysburg never gave the Diplomats a chance, darting out of the gate with a 19-point lead and holding F&M to just five points in the first 10 minutes of the contest.

Hartman tallied the first six out of eight points, while Drechsler and Moser followed with two baskets to force the Diplomats to use two timeouts over a two-minute span.

A good jumper from Nicole Dobranski put the Bullets ahead 28-7 for the largest lead of the first half. Gettysburg went on a 10-4 spurt to begin the final stanza knocking down two three-pointers for a 49-24 advantage.

Meisenberg netted eight of her 10 second-half points over a two-minute span, but it wasn't enough to spark a comeback attempt.

Brittany Braxton ended with a team-high eight rebounds and three steals.

The victory marked the most lopsided win in the series since the 1995-96 season, when the Bullets posted a 75-43 defeat over F&M.

The Diplomats return to action on Wednesday against Bryn Mawr. Game time is 6 p.m.
