BALTIMORE, Md. - Franklin & Marshall took the first game,
but Johns Hopkins rallied for a 3-1 (25-27,25-15,25-19,25-20) win
in Centennial Conference (CC) volleyball.
F&M's Nicole Morano and Jessica Poucel each posted a match
high 12 kills, equaled by Hopkins' Allison Cappelaere. Hopkins
posted a .257 hitting percentage, committing just 16 errors on 140
attempts. The Diplomats committed 26 errors on 139 attempts.
Pam Horner funneled F&M's offense with 24 assists, while
Margot Phelan and Stephanie Armstrong posted 13 and 12 digs
respectively. Phelan picked up seven kills.
The Diplomats fell to 8-13 (3-2 CC), while Hopkins solidified
its Centennial standing moving to 4-1 in league play. The Jays are
now 16-5 on the season. F&M returns to action on Saturday at
Haverford. F&M will face the Fords and Juniata.
