COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Freshman defender Monica Oliveto scored the golden goal with just 4:32 left in the second overtime to lead Ursinus over Franklin & Marshall 2-1 in the Centennial Conference (CC) opener on Saturday.

Bridget Winn sent the ball in from the left side off a direct kick and Oliveto headed the ball into the net to give the Bears (2-5, 1-0 CC) their first conference win.

The Diplomats (4-1, 0-1 CC) took a 1-0 lead in the first half when Shannon Summers scored from 30-yards out at the 27:44 mark. Ursinus tied it at 1-all in the second half thanks to Jess Porcelain scored at 51:37 on an assist from Katelyn Miller.

The Bears had two chances to end the game in regulation, but consecutive goals were called back due to interference with the F&M's goalie Erin Roy.

Ursinus goalkeeper Lisa Clark made eight saves, while Roy tallied 11 stops.

The Diplomats return to action Wednesday at Lebanon Valley. Game time is 5 p.m.
