LANCASTER, Pa. - Erica Suter's two goals led #9 Johns Hopkins to
a 3-0 victory over Franklin & Marshall in a Centennial
Conference (CC) women's soccer game Wednesday evening. The Blue
Jays improved to 11-2 (6-0 CC) while the Diplomats fall to 3-11
(1-5 CC).
Suter's first goal came at 17:34 when F&M's keeper Katie
Golding came out to defend a shot. Suter dribbled around her and
found the back of the net. Jessica Hnatiuk made it 2-0 when she
scored off a corner kick in the 22nd minute. Suter scored her sixth
goal of the year and second of the game in the 43rd minute. Allie
Zazzali crossed the ball from inside the box over to Suter who shot
it to the upper left corner of the net, putting Johns Hopkins up
3-0.
The Blue Jays dominated the majority of the game, holding a 24-2
advantage in shots.
Golding stopped eight shots in the loss. She falls to 3-9 on the
year. The Blue Jay's Kristen Redsun picks up the win, collecting
one save in the game.
Franklin and Marshall returns to the field on October 17th when
the Diplomats host Haverford.
