Box Score CARLISLE, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall secured a spot in the
Centennial Conference (CC) Volleyball Championship Tournament with
a 3-2 win at Dickinson on Wednesday. The reigning CC Player of the
Week, Nicole Morano, led F&M with 19 kills and three solo
blocks.
The Diplomats improved to 21-5 (7-1 CC) with the win with two
matches to play. The victory, combined with Gettysburg's defeat of
McDaniel Wednesday evening, ensured F&M a spot in the league's
postseason.
The reigning CC Player of the Week, Nicole Morano, led F&M
with 19 kills and three solo blocks. Pam Horner fed the offense 47
times while bailing out the defense 11 times. She also served up a
pair of aces and assisted a block.
Kerry Rom posted a double-double with 15 kills and 10 digs to go
with an ace and a solo block. Stephanie Armstrong was outstanding
in her passing game. She also offered 14 digs and three aces to the
F&M cause. Candice Tussing posted eight kills in three
games.
Dicksinon fell to 6-13 (3-4 CC) with the loss.
F&M returns to action for the regular season's final home
match on Saturday, kicking off the Homecoming spate of contests.
The conference tilt with Muhlenberg gets underway at 11:00 a.m.
F&M wraps the regular season a week later at Swarthmore.
