SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's volleyball toppled
Swarthmore 3-1 in a Centennial Conference (CC) match on Saturday.
With the victory in the final tune-up before next week's CC
Championship tournament, the Diplomats close the regular season at
23-5 (9-1 CC). That marks the most wins in Mary Kate Boland's seven
years as head coach, as well as the most wins since the 2002
season.
Nicole Morano led F&M with 18 kills, a solo block and a pair
of block assists, while Sydney Seydel recorded 17 kills a solo
block and a block assist. Jess Poucel also got in on the attack
with eight kills. Pam Horner fueled the attack with 48 assists. She
also had nine digs and a pair of blocks. Katy May recorded 12 digs
and a pair of aces, while Candice Tussing recorded seven kills and
five aces.
With the win, the Diplomats wrap up the regular season. F&M
returns to action next weekend in the CC Championships at
Haverford. F&M will enter the tourney as the second seed.
