LANCASTER, Pa. - Shannon Summers, one of 11 players who tallied a goal for Franklin & Marshall women's lacrosse team on Tuesday, recorded a game-high five points with two goals and three assists. Her efforts led the No. 3 Diplomats (3-0) to a 15-4 victory over No. 19 Rowan.

The win marks the third consecutive for F&M, and second straight over a ranked opponent, leaving F&M undefeated in the young season. Ashley Bevington tallied the lone hat trick of the day and added an assist.

Senior captain Kelly Angstadt led the Profs (1-1) with two goals and one assist.

The Diplomats scored their first three goals on as many shots before Rowan got a chance to get in its offensive end. Lauren Ehrhardt scored off a pass from behind the net from Summers just 58 seconds into the contest. Ehrhardt has scored F&M's first goal in each of the Diplomats' three games this season.

Meredith Lussier tallied the next two goals to give F&M a 3-0 lead with 3:22 gone in the first half. Lauren Crennan tallied the lone Profs goal of the half, finishing a solo run from behind the cage at 5:27.

The Diplomats registered the next six goals to push the lead to 9-1 going into halftime. Bevington tallied her first of three in the half and then found Cat Serpe for her first collegiate goal at 13:20 for a 5-1 lead.

Sarah Meisenberg took the ball the length of the field and connected with Jen Pritchard to make it 6-1. Bevington tallied two more goals, including one after Pritchard's forced turnover on a failed clear for a eight-goal advantage with another 30 minutes of play.

F&M started the second half much like the first with three goals out of the gate and then went on to add three more for a 15-4 margin.

Katie Delaney and Erin Dunne each collected their first collegiate point with a goal and assist, respectively. Sarah Veneski and Laura Ruppersberger found the back of the net for the first time this season.

Lidia Sanza and Chelsea Meerbach split time in the cage, each making four saves.

The Diplomats travel to West Palm Beach, Florida next week to take on Division II Merrimack on Wednesday, March 18 at 10 a.m.
