LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall swept a Saturday tri-meet with Ursinus and Scranton on the strength of two 3-0 wins. The Diplomats have now won three in a row and nine out of their last ten matches. The Diplomats (9-2, 2-0 Centennial) handed Ursinus a 25-19, 25-17, 26-24 loss in league play before downing Scranton 25-7, 25-13, 25-9.

Kerry Rom paced the offense with six kills in the Centennial win over the Bears. Jessica Poucel and Jian Lipowcan each had five kills apiece. Pam Horner set up the offense with 18 assists, while Lis Power served up a helping of five aces for the F&M cause. The Diplomats recorded 16 aces as a team in the victory.

Candice Tussing led the charge in the Scranton match posting 12 kills, while Nicole Morano added eight to go with her four assisted blocks. Horner posted 20 assists and Caitlin Krutsick added 13 more. Stephanie Armstrong served four aces and Power three.

The Diplomats 9-2 start is the best opening of a season since F&M went 10-2 to open the 2005 campaign. F&M will look to match that mark on Wednesday at McDaniel.
