SELINSGROVE, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's volleyball team ran its winning streak to six matches with a pair of wins on the Friday night portion of the 2009 Susquehanna Invitational. The Diplomats (12-2) took down St. Mary's and Susquehanna with a pair of 3-0 sweeps.

The Seahawks (7-6) gave F&M fits in each game of the 25-23, 27-25, 26-24 Diplomats' win. The Crusaders (8-9) proved a similar challenge, but the Diplomats walked off with a 26-24, 25-19, 25-19 win.

It took a total team effort to knock off St. Mary's. Candice Tussing led the team with 10 kills, an ace and 2 block assists in the win over St. Mary's. Kerry Rom added nine kills, a pair of aces and seven digs. Sydney Seydel recorded eight kills, a solo block and two block assists. Pam Horner had 38 assists and eight digs, while Lis Power paced the defense with nine digs.

Jessica Poucel led the offense against Susquehanna with 10 kills, while Rom once again added nine kills to go with seven digs. Horner funneled the offense 32 assists, while adding 12 digs and four aces to her line. Katy May chipped in nine digs and three aces. Nicole Morano added seven kills.

11 of the Diplomats' dozen wins have come as 3-0 sweeps. F&M has dropped just seven games through the season's first 14 matches.

F&M returns to action for two matches at Susquehanna. The Diplomats take on Wilkes at 1:00 p.m. followed immediately by a match with FDU-Florham.
