Diplomats Defeat Owls

LANCASTER, Pa. - Four players scored in double-figures as Franklin & Marshall handed Bryn Mawr a 76-35 loss in Centennial Conference (CC) women's basketball action. The Diplomats snapped a two-game skid and improved to 8-6 (4-5 CC). Bryn Mawr fell to 1-12 (0-12 CC) on the season.

F&M opened on a 13-0 run and never looked back, leading wire-to-wire. Allison Bauer had nine points in the first half, shooting 67% from the field. The Diplomats took a 42-14 lead into the half, outscoring Bryn Mawr 22-12 over the final 12 minutes.

The Diplomats controlled the opening eight minutes of the second half as they jumped out to a 53-16 lead with 10:58 left in the game.  Bryn Mawr answered back, outscoring F&M 19-13 in the final 10 minutes.

The Diplomats held a 54-23 advantage on the boards, including 28 on the offensive side, resulting in 21 second-chance points. F&M outshot the Owls 44% to 26%.

Megan Pauley finished with a team-high 14 points, shooting 7-for-9 from the floor. Alexa Barbush and Bauer scored 12 and 11 points respectively. Barbush was 4-for-8 from the field and Bauer shot 5-for-8.

Tracy Hahn scored a career-high 10 points. Hahn was 3-for-5 from the floor and 4-for-4 from the line.

Franklin & Marshall returns to court on Saturday when the Diplomats host McDaniel for a doubleheader. The women tip-off at 2 p.m. followed by the men at 4 p.m.
