HAVERFORD, Pa. - Dominique Meeks' layup with 18 seconds remaining proved to be the difference as Haverford defeated Franklin & Marshall 54-52 in a Centennial Conference (CC) women's basketball game Saturday afternoon. The Fords improved to 5-10 (3-8 CC) while F&M fell to 8-9 (4-8 CC).

The Diplomats erased an early eight-point deficit in the second to tie the game at 39 on an Alexa Barbush layup. Five ties, and two lead changes, ensued over the final 12 minutes of the game. Amy Chabitnoy's layup at 2:56 resulted in the fifth and final tie with the score knotted at 52.

F&M held a slight 13-10 advantage in the first half, before Haverford answered with a 15-4 run to lead 25-17. Holt's layup with 54 seconds remaining cut Haverford's lead to three. Nia Richardson hit two free throws in the final 25 seconds to give the Fords a 29-24 halftime lead.
