Box Score HAVERFORD, Pa. – Three second half goals led Haverford to
a 4-1 victory over visiting Franklin & Marshall in Centennial
Conference (CC) field hockey play Saturday afternoon.
The Fords (9-4, 4-2 CC) received consecutive goals from Margaret
Selsor, Mary Hobbs and Juliana Morgan-Trostle over an eight-minute
span early in the second half to take a 4-0 lead over F&M (6-7,
2-5 CC).
Franklin & Marshall got on the board in 62nd minutes with a
goal from Kimmy Fisher,
but were unable to find the net the remainder of the game.
The Fords' Maggie Cronin earned the win in goal making three stops
while Avery
Koep took the loss for F&M despite making eight saves.
Haverford outshot F&M 19-11 while the Diplomats held a slight
10-9 advantage in corners.
Franklin & Marshall returns to action Tuesday when the
Diplomats host Dickinson at 4:00 p.m.
