Box Score LANCASTER, Pa – Selena Boro netted a hat trick to lead
Franklin & Marshall to a 5-0 shutout over Bryn Mawr is a
Centennial Conference women's game Saturday afternoon at
Tylus Field. The Diplomats improved to 5-3 overall, 2-2 CC while
the Owls dropped to 2-8, 0-5.
Boro scored in the first 15 seconds of the game off of a dish from
Holly Lagasse. Jen Korngut put F&M ahead 2-0 when she ripped a
shot from 20-yards out over the keepers head.
Boro found the back of the net with back-to-back scores late in the
first half and early in the second. Her second score came after
Owls' keeper Rebecca Joseph (12 saves) stoned a shot, but was
unable to control the a ball, leading to Boro's rebound goal.
Her third goal was shot from the top of the cricle that put the
Diplomats up 4-0. Stephanie Bartner assisted Boro's final
score.
Carley Nicholson capped off the scoring with goal at the 63:59
mark.
F&M dominated on offense firing 27 shots to Bryn Mawr's
3. Diplomats' keeper Katie Golding recorded one save.
Franklin & Marshall return to the field Wednesday when the
Diplomats host York at 4:30 p.m.
