Diplomats Win in Straight Sets

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Franklin and Marshall's women's volleyball team breezed past Ursinus in Centennial Conference (CC) action Wednesday night winning in three straight games, 25-15, 25-18, 25-12. The victory puts the Diplomats' winning streak at 12 as they improved to 15-4 overall and 4-0 in CC. The loss handed Ursinus its third conference loss (1-3) and put the Bears at 8-11 this season.
 
Leading the way for F&M was Sydney Seydel with 10 kills and Kerry Rom with eight. Defensively the Diplomats were lead by Lis Power with 11 digs, Kerry Rom added 11, and Pam Horner dug out eight. Horner also contributed to the win by tacking on 29 assist and three aces. 

The Centennial Conference is raising awareness for breast cancer by participating in "Digging For A Cure" campaign. Each dig that a player achieves, one dollar will be donated to Living Beyond Breast Cancer of Haverford, Pa. In Tuesday's matchup both teams combined for 100 digs. 

Come out and support your Diplomats on Saturday October 9 as they look to continue their winning streak home against McDaniel. Game time is set for 1:00 PM.
