Box Score COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – #5 Ursinus used three first half goals
to defeat Franklin & Marshall 4-2 in Centennial Conference (CC)
field hockey action Saturday afternoon. The Diplomats fell to
6-5 (2-3 CC) while the Bears improved to 9-1 (6-0 CC).
Ursinus jumped out to an early 3-0 in the first 17 minutes of play,
with goals from Jennifer Bayzick, Rachel Pandl and Michelle.

Allison McLaren momentarily stemmed the tide with a goal at the
27:05 mark for F&M to make it 3-1. Chelsey Talhelm assisted on
the score.
Catherine Bitterly put Ursinus ahead 4-1 in the second half with a
shot from the right side before McLaren netted her second goal of
the game at 51:20.
Avery Koep stopped 12 shots in the cage for F&M.
Ursinus held a 15-2 advantaged in corners and outshot the Diplomats
32-3.
Franklin & Marshall will travel to Johns Hopkins Wednesday for
a 4:30 p.m. game.
