LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's women's soccer team gave fans an exciting ending to their evening against Elizabethtown Tuesday night. The game appeared destined for overtime tied at 2-2 with .9 seconds remaining. That's when when Shelby Cummins found the net off of an assist from teammate Carley Nicholson. Nicholson factored in all three F&M goals in the win. 
 
F&M pressured the Jays (2-2-1) for the duration of the final minute. With less than 20 seconds showing in regulation,  the Diplomats (3-1) took advantage of a throw in from the left side. Nicholson arced a perfect pass into the box for a streaking Cummins. Cummins slipped it to the right of an Elizabethtown defender and keeper Jess Manchak for the victory.

Nicholson dominated the first half for the Diplomats scoring a pair of goals.  In the 29th minute, Stephanie Bartner found Nicholson inside the goal box from five yards out to lay in her first goal.  In the 41st minute, Nicholson dribbled between a number of Blue Jays to launch her second goal into the back of the net.
 
Elizabethtown answered back in the second half, firing off two goals in a five minute span to tie the game at two apiece. Laura Wingert shot from 10 yards out to put the Blue Jays on the board in the 71st minute. Moments later, Lisa Nyman tied the game on a strike from 15 yards out.
  
Diplomats' keeper Katie Golding had four saves for the night. The Jays' Jess Manchak turned away two.
 
F&M improved its record to 3-1 while Elizabethtown dropped to 2-2-1. The Diplomats return to field at Ursinus on September 21, 4 PM.
