LANCASTER Pa.- Candice Tussing posted 11 kills and 12 digs to lead the Diplomats to a 3-0 sweep over St. Mary's on Friday evening. The win is the Diplomats second in a row as they improved to 5-4. The Seahawks slipped to 4-4.

F&M jumped out on front against St. Mary's capturing the first game 25-18. The Seahawks didn't go away without a fight battling for every point in the second game. The game had several match points until the Diplomats took over and ended it at 30-28. In the third game, the Diplomats maintained control even though the Seahawks remained close on the scoreboard. F&M pulled away for the 25-23 match winner.

Kerry Rom picked up nine kills and 10 digs while teammate Jessica Poucel dominated with nine kills and one block assist. Defensively Katy May contributed 11 digs and teammate Sydney Seydel added seven kills on the offensive side.

Franklin & Marshall returns to action tomorrow at the Catholic Volleyball Tournament. The Diplomats will face Marymount at 1 PM and Catholic at 3 PM.
