Box Score 2 WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Franklin & Marshall's volleyball team
continues its success, capturing two wins Saturday against Catholic
and Marymount at the Catholic Tournament. With the sweep, the
Diplomats improved their record to 7-4.
In the first match of the day Candice
Tussing posted 10 kills and five digs against Marymount.
F&M jumped out to win the first two games 25-17, 25-14 before
the Saints captured the third, 21-25. F&M dominated the fourth,
winning 25-16.
Kerry Rom recorded
seven kills and 15 digs. Defensively
Pam Horner had
14 digs and Katy
May added 12.
The Diplomats took on host Catholic in the second match of the
tournament. F&M won in three straight games 25-14,25-17,18-25.
Jesssica Poucel led the Diplomats offensively with 11 kills. Sydney
Seydel and Rom both assisted with nine kills. Rom added 33
assists in the victory against the Cardinals.
Franklin & Marshall returns to action on Tuesday at
Lancaster Bible. The Diplomats will face Penn State-Harrisburg at
6:30 pm followed by the hosts at 8:00 pm.
