Box Score COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's women's soccer
team locked up in the opening round of conference play losing 4-0
against Ursinus Tuesday afternoon. The Diplomats fell to 0-1 in the
Centennial Conference and 3-2 overall. The Bears improved to 1-0 in
the CC and 4-2 overall.
F&M had difficulty defending Ursinus midfielder Jess
Porcelan from taking six shots and converting three of them.
Porcelan's first goal came off of a corner kick at 19:16 as she
launched the ball from the left side and it bounced by Diplomats
goalkeeper
Katie Golding. Teammate Brittany Williams also scored a
goal for Ursinus in the 82nd minute.
The Bears were hard to contain throughout the game as they
took 14 shots compared to the Diplomats five. Porcelan and Williams
combined for eight of the shots taken.
Franklin & Marshall returns to action Saturday at
Washington College. Game time is set for 4:00 PM.
