Diplomats Fall Short

Box Score

LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall drop a one-goal game, 1-0, Tuesday evening in a non-conference women's soccer game with Alvernia. The Diplomats fell to 1-1 while the Crusaders improved to 3-1.

F&M kept the Crusaders scoreless for majority of the game and were able to fire off nine shots from the field. Just as the game seem poised for overtime junior Kate Wimberg sent a long ball into the box from the right side of the field that found Klusewitz in the midst of three F&M defenders. Klusewitz somehow managed a shot that snuck just past the outstretched goalie.

The loss brings Katie Golding to 1-1 on the season. Golding had seven saves on the night.

The Diplomats look to rebound on September 11 at home against Pitt-Greensburg. Game time is set for noon.
