SALISBURY, Md. -- No. 2 Salisbury overcame a 4-3 halftime deficit to knock off No. 8 Franklin & Marshall, 10-8, Sunday in a non-conference women's lacrosse game. The Sea Gulls remained perfect on the season at 8-0 while the Diplomats dropped to 6-2.

F&M built an early 3-0 lead in the first half with two scores from Lauren Selawski and one from Cat Serpe with 10:16 left in the opener. Lauren Ehrhardt assisted Serpe's score while Erin Dunne found Selawski on her second.

Salisbury answered with a 3-0 scoring run to even the game at 3-3 with 3:04 left before the break. Amanda Holsclaw took a feed from Katie Bollhosrt on the Sea Gulls first score before Bollhorst netted back-to-back shots to even the game. Serpe's unassisted goal with 17 seconds left in the half gave the Diplomats a 4-3 halftime lead.

Lauren Feusahrens tied the game early in the second half before Allie Wheatley gave the Sea Gulls the lead for good over a minute later. Those goals were the beginning of a 7-0 scoring run for Salisbury that finished with 6:16 left in the game and gave the Gulls a 10-4 lead.

The Diplomats ended the game with four unanswered goals. Mary Mitchell scored twice in the run while Caroline Krohn and Ehrhardt netted a goal each.

Libby Nichols and Serpe both finished with four groundballs and Serpe also came away with four draws.  

F&M held a 23-21 shot advantage, scooped up one more ground ball, 14-13, and forced 17 turnovers while Salisbury owned a 13-6 advantage in draws.

Kelsey Hoffman stopped five shots in goal for F&M while Ashton Wheatley recorded 10 saves for the Gulls.

The Diplomats return home Wednesday in a Centennial Conference game against Bryn Mawr at 4:30 p.m.
