LANCASTER, Pa. –Franklin & Marshall's women's volleyball team capped off a busy weekend by sweeping a pair of matches on Saturday, winning both in straight sets.  The Diplomats (3-0) defeated Elizabethtown by scores of 25-23, 25-17 and 25-23 in the day's first game and continued their winning ways with a triumph against Penn State Berks by scores of 26-24, 25-23 and 25-18.

Freshman Rosalie Frank paced the offense in the first game with nine kills, while senior Kerry Rom directed the defense with 15 digs.  Sophomore Caroline Hubbard led the team with 15 assists and junior Meghan Hubert added 12 of her own.

In the second match against Penn State-Berks, the Diplomats overcame a slow start in the first set to sweep the Nittany Lions 3-0.  Sophomore Caroline Hubbard led the team in assists, with 26, while sophomore Julie Harvey led the offense with 18 kills. Senior Heather Letzkus added nine kills of her own.  On defense, senior Kerry Rom capped off her impressive day by recording 16 kills. 

The Diplomats look to continue their torrid start to the season with a meeting against York on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
