LANCASTER, Pa. – Dickinson defeated Franklin & Marshall 64-40 in the Centennial Conference (CC) championship Saturday evening at the Mayser Center.  The Red Devils earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament as an automatic qualifier and improved to 20-7 while F&M dropped to 20-7.  

F&M has put together 25 seasons with 20 or more wins and will have to wait until Monday to see if they receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.  

The first five minutes was a battle as both teams exchanged points with F&M leading 10-9 at 14:38. Gerry Wixted hit a three on the Red Devils next possession that gave Dickinson the lead for good, 12-10, with 14:23 left to the break. F&M stayed close before Dickinson went on a 9-3 run to go up eight, 23-15, at 8:50.  

F&M answered with a 7-2 spurt to come within two, 25-22, but the Red Devils countered but outscoring F&M 11-3 down the stretch to go into the break with a 33-25 edge.  

Dickinson started the second with an 11-3 run to pull away and took a 44-28 lead at 16:11. F&M came within 11, 46-35, on a Morgan Lee foul shot, but the Red Devils outscored F&M 12-2 run over the next eight minutes to go up 21, 58-37, with 4:54 remaining in the game and maintained a double-digit the remainder of the contest.  

Hayk Gyokchyan tallied 11 points with 11 boards for his sixth double-double of the season and picked up three blocks. Jon Salandra netted 10 and Lee hit 5-of-7 foul shots to finish with 10 points.  

Adam Honig led all scorers with 16 and pulled down 10 rebounds. Wixted had 14 points with 11 boards and Chris Barsanti finished with 11 for the Red Devils.
