NEW HAVEN, Conn. - No. 7 Franklin & Marshall suffered a 6-3 setback to No. 6 Rochester in the consolation bracket of the College Squash Association (CSA) Team Championships on Saturday at Yale. The Diplomats (16-7) will face off against No. 5 Cornell tomorrow, while the Yellow Jackets (10-6) will meet No. 8 St. Lawrence in the consolation finals of the Potter Cup (A Division). 

The Diplomats captured victories at spots 7-9 in the lineup as Jack Cutler (No. 7), Brian Henry (No. 8), and Dylan Cunningham (No. 9) each came away with wins in convincing fashion. Cutler and Cunningham registered straight-game wins with Cutler topping Xiaomen Meng 11-9, 11-4, 11-8, and Cunningham taking down Juan Herrera 11-3, 11-4, 12-10. Henry defeated William Mohr 11-1, 11-6, 2-11, 12-10. 

No. 5 Antonio De La Torre was edged in a see-saw battle against Oscar Lopez Hidalgo that stretched to five games. De La Torre took the first game 11-6, before Lopez Hidalgo came storming back with 11-8, 12-10 wins in games two and three. De La Torre then stretched the match to five with an 11-9 game four triumph, but Lopez Hidalgo came away with an 11-7 score in the decisive game to snag the win. 

No. 1 Guilherme de Melo, No. 2 Mauricio Sedano, and No. 3 Ryan Mullaney each fell in four games. 

F&M will wrap up its season tomorrow against No. 5 Cornell at 9:00 a.m.
