NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Day two at the Yale Round Robin resulted in a split for the No. 18 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team on Saturday afternoon as the Diplomats (5-9) opened the day with a 9-0 loss to No. 14 Williams (10-9) before responding with a 7-2 win over No. 20 Bowdoin (5-8). 

Against Williams, Dulakshi Elikewela fell behind at 2-1 (11-9, 4-11, 11-9) but fought back to even the match at 2-2 with an 11-8 win the fourth. However, Williams' Alyssa Northrop finished off the contest with an 11-3 victory in the fifth.

Krista Lancione was the only other Diplomat to take a game in the match but fell at No. 9 by a 10-12, 11-8, 11-3, 11-5 margin.

Later in the afternoon against Bowdoin, Elikewela gave F&M an early lead from the No. 1 spot with a marathon 11-6, 12-10, 7-11, 10-12, 11-9 win, while Roxanna Mead overcame an early deficit at No. 2 with a 3-1 victory (1-11, 11-4, 11-6, 11-1).

Bowdoin captured the No. 3 and No. 4 matchups but the Diplomats finished strong with wins from No. 5-9 to seize the contest. Rapisarda was in control throughout her meeting with Emily Simonton, cruising to a 3-0 sweep (11-4, 11-0, 11-5) at No. 8, while Lancione dominated at No. 9 with an 11-8, 11-1, 11-4 win.

F&M wraps up competition at the Yale Round Robin tomorrow when the Diplomats face off against No. 12 Bates at 9:00 a.m.
