Box Score CARLISLE, Pa. – Sydney Cole notched a pair of goals and Allie Morey stopped the only two shots she faced as the No. 5 Franklin & Marshall field hockey team earned its 10th shutout of the year with a 2-0 blanking of Dickinson in Centennial Conference (CC) action.
Saturday afternoon's win wrapped up the regular season for the Diplomats, improving their record to 16-1, 9-1 CC, while the Red Devils dipped to 11-5, 5-5 CC. F&M enters the CC Tournament as the No. 2 seed and with an eight-game winning streak.

F&M dominated play in the opening half with an 8-0 shot advantage, including five from Maria Guarisco, but was unable to light the scoreboard through the first 35 minutes of play. In the second, the Diplomats wasted little time finding the back of the cage when a Juliet Dalton corner led to a deflection from Tamara Mills before a second deflection from Cole for the 1-0 lead.
The narrow one-goal advantage held until the 60th minute. Mary Kate Olson sent a ball in from the top of the circle that Cole deflected in for her second of the game and 10th of the season. F&M kept the pressure on in the waning minutes of the competition with three shots on goal in the final 10 minutes of play and not allowing Dickinson to threaten the lead.
Morey (16-1) earned her fifth shutout of the year with both of her saves coming in the second half, while her counterpart Emily Fuss (10-4) was dealt the loss despite a 14-save effort.
The Diplomats led on shots at 22-5, while holding the 9-3 advantage on corners. Guarisco paced the offense with nine attempts on cage, followed by five from Cole.
