Box Score LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall limited Haverford to its lowest production of the season defeating the Fords 92-42 in Centennial Conference (CC) men's basketball action Saturday afternoon. The Diplomats remained undefeated this season and improved to 8-0, 4-0 CC while the Fords fell to 2-5, 1-3 CC.
Head Coach Glenn Robinson picked up career win 878 and is one win shy of tying University of North Carolina coaching legend Dean Smith for the sixth spot on the NCAA All-Time Coaching Victory List.
With the score tied at 6-6 at 15:45, the Diplomats went on a 23-1 run over the next seven minutes and took the lead for good. F&M dominated the remainder of the game led by at least 20 points after the seven-minute mark in the first half.
Cedric Moune did not miss a shot in the first half, pouring in 17 points on 8-for-8 shooting and collecting nine boards. Moune finished the game with a career-high 19 points and tied a career-high with 16 boards to finish with his third double-double of the season.
Devin Figueroa was equally as impressive in the second, hitting all five shots he took. Figueroa netted a career-high 16 points, shooting 3-for-3 from behind the arc. Brandon Federici finished with 17 points while Morgan Lee added 12 for the Diplomats.
Matt Sherman was on the only Ford in double-figures with 14 points.
F&M held a 55-23 advantage on the glass, turned 16 turnovers into 26 points and outscored Haverford 62-17 in the paint.
The Diplomats wrap up the first semester portion of their schedule next Saturday when F&M hosts Albright at 3:00 p.m.
