LANCASTER, Pa. – The No. 10 Franklin & Marshall men's squash team captured wins at the top two positions in its lineup but perennial powerhouse No. 2 Trinity rolled to the 7-2 victory on Tuesday evening at the Mayser Center. The Diplomats' record evened at 5-5 with the loss, while the Bantams remained unbeaten at 8-0.
The top of the order was strong for F&M as Abhishek Pradhan (No. 1) and Cole Osborne (No. 2) each earned victories on the evening. Pradhan battled back from a 1-0 hole to take three straight for the 3-1 win (5-11, 11-9, 12-10, 11-9), while Osborne survived a comeback attempt from Trinity's Miled Zarazua to hang on for the 3-2 decision (11-6, 11-6, 6-11, 6-11, 11-5).
Pedro Veiga de Almeida battled at the No. 5 spot and almost registered a key victory for the Diplomats but fell short by a 3-2 mark (9-11, 9-11, 11-7, 11-6, 11-5). Alex Arjoon also took his opponent to the wire at the No. 4 position in the lineup, but fell in the final two games en route to the 3-2 defeat (8-11, 11-6, 6-11, 11-8, 11-7).
F&M returns to the courts on Friday for its third consecutive home tilt, playing host to No. 15 Williams at 5:00 p.m.
