Series History: F&M will face Gettysburg for 214th time since the series began in 1903. The Bullets hold a slight 111-103 series advantage, but the Diplomats have been dominant in Centennial play with a 33-14 mark. F&M has won 10 of the previous 11 meetings, including a 63-51 victory at the end of last season.
F&M takes on Swarthmore on Saturday for the 97th time since the series began in 1904 and the second time this month. The Diplomats hold a 69-27 overall mark, including winning 13 of the previous 14 contests. F&M has won 30-of-34 contests in CC action, including the previous three meetings and look for a season sweep after defeating the Garnet 83-65 on Jan. 7th.
D3hoops.com Poll: Franklin & Marshall dropped a few a spots in the D3hoops.com Poll to 20th. Fellow CC foes Dickinson (5th) and Johns Hopkins (18th) were also ranked.
In the Rankings: F&M ranks in the top-25 in multiple statistical categories among the 408 Division III schools. The Diplomats are 18th in field goal percentage (48.7) and 10th in three-point percentage (41.8). Brandon Federici's 20.1 points per game ranks 29th across the country while Cedric Moune's 163 rebounds comes in at 23rd.
Around the CC: Several Diplomats rank in the top five in the CC. Brandon Federici's 20.1 points per game, Cedric Moune's 9.9 boards per game and 1.8 blocks per game as well as Matthew Tate's steals (33) all rank first in the CC.
F&M Last Week: The Diplomats went 1-1 last week with a loss against Dickinson early in the week before picking up the season sweep over Haverford on Saturday.
Morgan Lee finished with a game-high 18 points for the Diplomats, shooting 6-for-15 from the field against Dickinson. Brandon Federici tallied 16 points while Cedric Moune grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds.
Against Haverford, Brandon Figueroa shot 9-for-14 from the floor and 7-for-9 from the stripe to lead all scorers with a career-high 25 points while Federici knocked down 9-for-14 from the field for 22. Lee netted 17 with seven boards and Cedric Moune also finished in double-figures with 10 points.
Last Time We Met Gettysburg: Jon Salandra and Matt Porter both tallied 17 points to lead Franklin & Marshall to a 63-51 victory over Gettysburg on Feb. 19, 2014.
Salandra added six boards, four blocks and two steals while Porter shot 7-for-11 for his 17 points. Figueroa finished with eight and Phelps went 3-for-3 from the line for eight points.
Sean Gordon paced the Bullets with 18 on 6-for-12 shooting and Tanner Kirkpatrick netted 12 for the Bullets.
F&M outshot Gettysburg 51-42 percent and held a slight 28-26 advantage on the glass.
Last Time We Met Swarthmore: Cedric Moune scored a career-high 22 points to lead 11th-ranked Franklin & Marshall to an 83-65 victory over Swarthmore earlier this month.
Moune finished the game shooting 8-for-10 from the floor and grabbed eight boards. Federici ended with 16 points and Lee tallied 14. Tate went 3-for-4 from the field and netted 12 points to go along with four steals for the Diplomats.
Zack Yonda and Matt Brennan paced Swarthmore with 15 points each and Robbie Walsh added seven.
F&M outshot Swarthmore 56-49 percent and converted 19 turnovers into 26 points.
