Series History: Dickinson and F&M will face off for the 180th time since the series began in 1905. The Diplomats have a 109-70 series edge, including a 34-11 mark in conference action. The teams split the regular season series with each team winning on their own home court last season with the Red Devils picking up an extra win in the CC Semifinals.
F&M welcomes Haverford to the Mayser Center on Saturday for the teams second contest this season. The Diplomats hold a massive 75-14 advantage in the all-time series, including a 32-5 mark in Centennial Conference (CC) play and an active five-game winning streak, including an 87-56 win earlier this year.
Outstanding In His Field: Glenn Robinson improved his career win total to 904 last week. He has now moved past Bob Knight (902), putting him alone in third place for career NCAA wins. He trails only Herb Magee of Philadelphia University and Duke's Mike Krzyzewski.
Help Us Celebrate: Franklin & Marshall College will recognize Coach Robinson after the final home game of the regular season with a special presentation at center court honoring the coach's stellar accomplishment. The game against Dickinson on Feb. 20 starts at 3:00 p.m. and the presentation will begin immediately after the contest.
Last Time We Met Dickinson: No. 14 Dickinson defeated No. 25 Franklin & Marshall 82-68 in a Centennial Conference (CC) Men's Basketball Semifinal on Feb. 27, 2015.
F&M continued a first half run in the second and outscored Dickinson 6-3 to come within three, 46-43, on a Morgan Lee layup at 18:17. Dickinson responded with an 8-0 run and took a 54-43 lead at 16:18. The Diplomats stayed within striking distance and a Jared Wright triple brought F&M to within six, but the Red Devils countered and went up 10, 65-55, with 8:28 left in the game.
Hunter Eggers converted from beyond the arc on F&M's next possession to make it 65-58, but that was as close as F&M would get as the Red Devils netted seven straight and maintained a double-digit edge the remainder of the contest.
Eggers finished with a career-high 16 points for the Diplomats, shooting 5-for-9 from the floor. Cedric Moune chipped in 13 points and grabbed nine boards, while Brandon Federici finished with 11.
Gerry Wixted led all scorers with a game-high 29 points and Ted Hinnenkamp recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards for Dickinson.
Last Time We Met Haverford: Five players scored in double-figures as No. 17 Franklin & Marshall handed Haverford an 87-56 defeat on Jan. 12 earlier this year.
Brandon Federici shot 8-for-14 from the floor and finished with a game-high 19 points. Matthew Tate had 14 points and Cedric Moune went 5-for-7 with 12 points to go along five boards while Hunter Eggers chipped in 11 points and collected four steals. Nicholas Stern netted 10 off the bench and Wright finished with eight.
