LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's No. 11 men's squash team succumbed to a late rally from No. 15 Navy, falling in a narrow 5-4 decision on Sunday afternoon at the Mayser Center.
The loss wrapped up the regular season for the Diplomats and dropped their record to 7-9 on the season while the Midshipmen improved to 20-8.
By the Numbers
F&M dominated the top half of the lineup, earning victories in three of the No.'s 1-4 positions on the ladder, however, Navy swept the No.'s 7-9 spots. Five of the matchups went past three games, including a pair that were extended to five.
Sean Kenny and Silvio Soom both swept their opponents in three games, while senior Pedro Veiga De Almeida (No. 3) picked up a 3-1 win in the final home match of his career.
The loss snapped an eight-match winning streak over the Midshipmen, dating back to the 2007-08 season.

A new format to the Championships this year has the Summers Cup (C Division) – H Division running this upcoming Friday through Sunday while the Potter Cup (A Division) – Hoehn Cup (B Division) will be taking place from Feb. 26-28. Both weekends are set to take place at Yale University.
